Assistant House Manager & Recovery Coach
Angel Ortiz serves as Assistant House Manager and Recovery Coach at LifeHouse Behavioral Health, where he supports residents with structure, accountability, and compassion. His leadership is grounded in lived experience and a deep understanding of the recovery journey.​

Angel has been a live-in resident at Life House for the past 18 months, a transformative experience that gave him firsthand insight into the challenges faced by those in recovery. His personal growth and commitment to healing have shaped his approach to supervision, as he leads by example with integrity and consistency.​
​
Angel recently completed Peer Recovery Support Specialist training through Governor State University, and he is preparing for certification to further advance his impact in the field. Angel is passionate about supporting individuals with substance use and mental health challenges, using his experience to foster a safe, empowering environment where others can rebuild their lives.​

Outside of work, Angel enjoy staying active and engaged through a variety of hobbies, including chess, basketball, reading books, and baseball. These hobbies help him maintain balance, support his own personal growth, and strengthen the curiosity and teamwork that are essential in the recovery community.
