Phil Fairweather

tgfgfAs Director of Operations, Mr. Fairweather is responsible for business development, resident screening and intake, resident programming, skill development, employment opportunities and placement. Mr. Fairweather also oversees building maintenance and modernization, resident support services, employee staffing and policy development. Mr. Fairweather has significant experience in public and private sector urban development. He served as Deputy Director of Economic Development for the Chicago Housing Authority from 1996 to 1999, as Program Manager for the Chicago Urban League from 2000 to 2003, and as Program Developer for the Illinois Teen Reach Initiative from 2004 to 2006. As a Senior Development Officer from 2010 to 2020 at Minds United Consulting, Mr. Fairweather spearheaded the delivery of economic development and strategic planning solutions for early-growth stage businesses focused on international market penetration through government and community service organizations.

 

Mr. Fairweather holds a B.A. in Entrepreneurship from DePaul University (2008), and he earned an Executive MBA in International Business from the College of Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2013. He served as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Dominican University from 2018 to 2020.
